Intuition

Architecture is inevitably an expression of human values. As such, the heart and the head need to work together if a project is going to be successful. We believe that a building that works well is of little use if it fails to inspire the people who use it. While our approach starts with gathering all that there is to know about the site and the project, there is always a moment when we must take a speculative leap. This is the most intense part of the process and involves a focused exchange with our Clients. We produce a series of informal models and sketches, and meet with them to understand if our proposals resonate.

The nature of design means that we never get it entirely right the first time. This is often unsettiling for new clients, until they realize that this iterative method is fun, and creates a richer range of experience in the completed project.
